So a while back I wrote a couple original cat songs to help fundraise for an event…and have decided to post them.

This one’s for a cat named Sergeant Social Snuggles, this is the description the owner emailed me for inspiration:

M found her at the SPCA, or rather the cat found her, she eats a lot and has gained weight, she wakes M at 4 or 5 every morning mainly by licking her toes, her litter box is in the cellar near a HUGE rock, M adores her and spend a lot of time with cat on lap combing her but her hair comes back as fast as she combs it, Sergeant Social Snuggles is her formal name tho I think she is referred to as Stinker but I get mixed up about this as one of her former beloved cats was actually named Stinker cat. She hates getting her nails clipped so much that Monika has to carry her across the street to the vet who is very odd,  and he does it, but she weighs so much that it’s a shlep.

This one’s for a cat named Mary Ann, this is the description the owner emailed me for inspiration:

I’ve attached a couple of photos of Mary Ann, also known around the house as Little-Little and Pretty-Pretty.  (She’s not actually that little, about 12 or 13 pounds.  She is, however, very pretty, and likes to be admired.)  We adopted the two of them from the Cat Association of Topeka back in 2007.  Like I said, Mary Ann is my partner Izzy’s favorite; he dotes on her and refuses to hear a word against her.  She’s a talker, and sometimes even a yeller.  Izzy frequently characterizes their relationship this way: “She yells at me and I pet her.”  She’s a sweet kitty, but not much of a cuddler.
