March 8 was the first ever “Janine and Emily’s Girl Talk” and it was fantastic. I’m still floating. I didn’t want the night to end. I want every show to be like that show.
The comedy was incredible, and not in a “hey, this is pretty good for a female lineup” way. No, it was one of the best comedy shows I’ve ever been to. Ever. And I heard the same from a lot of audience members, friends, fellow comics, and people who know comedy. These women did me so proud.

If you weren’t there, do yourself a favor and google: Emily Heller, Marcella Arguello, Chris Burns, Caitlin Gill, Aparna Nancherla, and Beth Stelling. Watch their videos back to back, then multiply that by a thousand, and you’ll get half an idea of how magical the night was.

I’ve found my spirit animal (and I’m not talking about the dog).
